Updating your nominations
If you die while you’re still employed by Cadent, your beneficiaries will be paid a lump sum death benefit, and your dependant(s) could receive a dependant’s pension. If you’re not married or in a civil partnership, you can nominate someone else to receive the dependant’s pension.
Nominate someone to receive the lump sum
You can nominate more than one person and tell us what percentage you’d like each person to receive. To let us know who you would like to nominate:
If you use My Online Services:
- Log into My Online Services
- Fill in the Letter of Intent form
- The details will be updated immediately.
If you don’t use My Online Services:
- Print and complete the Letter of Intent form
- Send it to us in the post (address is on the form)
- Details will be updated and we’ll confirm the changes have been done.
Nominate someone to receive a dependant’s pension
If you’re not married or in a civil partnership, you can nominate:
- a partner
- an aged parent
- a disabled child who isn’t able to support themselves financially.
In the event of your death, the people you have nominated will need to provide evidence of their financial dependency or interdependency. To let us know who you would like to nominate:

- Log into My Online Services.
- Fill in the Dependant Nomination form on the homepage.
- The details will be updated immediately.
If you don’t use My Online Services:
- Print and complete the Dependant Nomination form.
- Send it to us in the post (address is on the form).
- Details will be updated and we’ll confirm the changes have been done.
